[Class 46] [Also in Groups III and IV] The porous medium of an oil filter is mixed with a salt or ester of an amino-carboxylic acid containing at least one amino-substituted hydroxy alkyl group. The medium may be mounted in a cartridge adapted to fit into a container. As porous medium is mentioned cotton waste whilst the sodium salts of N - mono - and di - hydroxyethylglycocoll and the ethyl ester of N - monohydroxyethyl glycocoll are given as examples of the admixed compounds. Specification 487,673, [Group III], is referred to.
