Abstract
540,813. Fastenings. KELLEMS PRODUCTS, Inc. Aug. 12, 1940, No. 12899. Convention date, Aug. 17, 1939. [Class 44] [Also in Group XIV] Gripping-devices 2 for the handles of brooms &c. 1, consisting of sleeves of stranded wire loops inter-woven to permit the sleeves to expand or contract radially, are supported from a metal base 3 secured to a support by screws. The base 3 is channelled at 4, Fig. 5, to accommodate the twisted ends of the wires. Hooks 24 for other articles may be stamped out of the base. In one modification, Fig. 6, the ends of the wires are clamped between annular parts of bracket members 15, 16. Similar clamping arrangements may be employed in attachments to horizontal surfaces. The wires may be looped through holes in a base plate 45, Fig. 10, and their free ends secured together by coupling members 46.
