[Class 98 (i)] The film numeral aperture of a roll-film camera is covered by a light-shielding member carrying film type designations, and adjustable by means secured to it and extending to the outside of the camera so that the designation of the film in use is visible either through the numeral aperture or another, means being provided to retain the member in the adjusted position. As shown, a disc 10 is secured to a stud slidable in a slot 12 in the camera back and having an external slotted head 13 so that by inserting the edge of a coin the disc may be turned to exhibit in the slot 12 any one of a number of film designations carried on the face of the disc. The film shields the film from light passing through the film-number window 5, but when the film is to be wound the stud carrying the disc is slid to the top of the slot 12 so that the disc uncovers the window. A spring 17 engages notches in the edge of the disc to return it in its adjusted position, and also to urge it to its normal lowermost position. The film designations may be visible through the window 5 instead of through the slot 12.
