[Class 40 (iv)] A micro-telephone handset comprises a longitudinally channelled handle portion 1 integral with a transmitter housing 2 and a receiver housing 3, all open at the back and adapted to contain all the apparatus units of the handset and to be closed by one or more back cover plates. The cover plates may be stamped from sheet metal As shown, three cover plates 12, 14, 16 are provided over packing material 13, 15, 17, the end plates 14, 16 overlapping the central plate 12. These plates are secured by screws to the hollow casing 1, 2,3. The handle contains a contact spring set 10 operable by a side finger button.
