534,787. Dispensing comestibles &c. FOOD DISPENSER CO. Dec. 13, 1939, No. 32170. Convention date, Dec. 13, 1938. [Class 102 (ii)] A dispenser for comestibles or the like comprises a container 1, Fig. 2, having an outlet 4 at one end and the opposite filling end 3 closed by a flow-controlling resilient domed disc 2 which is connected to the container by an axially apertured cap 6 having an annular portion 17 normally engaging the dome portion of the disc 2. The container 1 may be made of glass with a roughened or ribbed grasping portion 5 and a threaded portion 8 to receive the threaded portion of the cap 6. The disc 2 may be made of rubber with an imperforate actuating projection 13. The cap 6 has a depending portion 12 which extends below the projection 13 to support the dispenser upright in an inoperative position. When the dispenser 101 shown in Fig. 7 is not in use, it is seated in the open top of an upstanding container 102 which may be fitted with closure means for the outlet 105. The actuating projection 113 may be imperforate or provided with a small axial air passage 114.
