[Class 51 (ii)] In the firing of pottery ware, particularly hollow ware such as cups, the articles are supported on a plurality of shelves or bats a which are perforated for the passage of flanged pillar supports c, and are held in superposed position by porcelain &c. distance pieces d fitting over the pillars. Preferably, three pillars are used for each tray, being secured in the holes in the trays by a pasty adhesive.
