533,987. Hook-headed spikes. BERGLOF, G., and JELLART, R. A. Dec. 5, 1939. No. 31468. Class 89 (ii)] Hook - headed spikes for fixing electric conductors, conduit &c. are made in one piece from sheet metal a portion 2 being cut from the hook section 3 and left upstanding to act as a driving head. When the spike is in place the head mav be bent back into place leaving a smooth surface round the conductor or the head may be nicked at 7 for breaking off. One side of the hook may be cut away along the chain line to form an unsymmetrical hook, or the slot may be so cut that the sides 3 form two separate hooks. The cross section of the shank may be curved as shown in Fig. 5.
