532,222. Rear-engined motor vehicles. ZOVODY RINGHOFFER-TATRA AKCIOVA SPOLECNOST. Aug. 22, 1939, No. 24193. Convention date, Sept. 1, 1938. [Class 79 (iii)] The rear cover for the engine, gearing, and axle unit of a rear-engined vehicle is made in two parts 1, 3 hinged together at 2, the smaller part 3 being directly over the engine and of just sufficient size to give access thereto. Thus for engine inspection alone the whole cover need not be raised. The louvres 5 may be provided in the part 3 only, and this part may be of light metal to facilitate handling.
