531,799. Drawing wire. BRITISH INSULATED CABLES, Ltd., CLEMENTS, W. J., and CLEAVER, F. T. Aug. 2, 1939, No. 22424. [Class 83 (iv)]- A winding-drum for a wire-drawing machine has the required reduction of diameter above the set-off 2 obtained in a number of steps, the diameter reduction in each step being from 1/16th inch to 1/8th inch. The step 3 is of less taper than the base of the drum and steps 4 are parallel. The envelope of the drum shown by the dotted line 5 has a taper of from 1¢ to 2¢ per cent.
