[Class 113 (ii)] A collapsable boat comprises one or more units each comprising panels of rigid material hinged longitudinally so that they can be folded flat and provided at one or both ends with a watertight flexible bulkhead permanently fixed to the foldable members. Fig. 5 shows a section of the centre section of a boat. Bottom panels 5, 6 of plywood are hinged to a centre board 4 and to these panels are hinged narrower panels 8, 9 having hinged depending portions 12, 13. At each end are a pair of partition boards 14 hinged to the panels 5, 6 so that they may lie flat thereon when the boat is collapsed or may be raised and secured to the centre board 4 by eyes 17 and pins 16 to hold the boat in expanded form. Slots 18 are provided in the partitions to receive the portions 12, 13. Rubber bulkheads are secured at each end of the section adjacent the edges of the boards 6, 7, 8, 9 and to the keel board 4b. The bow portion, Fig. 8, has a keel board 23 to which are hinged panels 24 connected at their upper edges by hinges 27 to panels 26 secured together by socket members 28 and removable pins 29. The end is closed by a rubber bulkhead 30 and around the edges at intervals are socket members 38 for connection by removable pins to socket members on the adjacent end of the centre section of the boat. The stern section is constructed similarly to the bow section but has a square stern end and the adjacent edges of the upper panels 26 are connected by the pin and socket members to an intermediate batten. In all the sections the edges connected by hinges are made watertight by strips of rubber secured by battens.
