Abstract

529,634. Helmets. HAMBLIN, T., and HAMBLIN, Ltd., T. Nov. 22, 1939, No. 30607. [Class 63] Relates to helmets of the kind having a somewhat saucer-shaped shell spaced from an internal head fitting, and consists in the provision of a visor slidable inside the crown and formed of perforated metal shaped approximately to the crown. The visor is perforated at 7 and provided with a flexible tail piece 8 which slides in a slot in the centre fitting 9 of the helmet. In use, the visor is steadied by clips 11 which spring into notches in a shield plate 5 fixed between the internal head fitting and the shell of the helmet.
