528,168. Folding fabrics. TAGG, J. F., and TAGG, G. April 29, 1939, No. 12866. [Class 42 (ii)] In a machine for laying cloth in folds on a table along which the cloth carriage 17 is reciprocated, the wire brushes 9 or other members for gripping each fold of cloth are carried by rods 8 sliding in sockets 5 pivoted at 6, a cam groove 12a and a roller 11 carried by each rod 8 causing the brush &c. 9 to move vertically. The brush &c. is lifted by a roller 20 on the carriage and a cam plate 15 which is pivoted on the rod 8 and caused to keep the same inclination relatively to the machine bed by a cam slot 15a and a pin 14a on a slide 14 linked to the socket 5 at 13.
