526,230. Wireless receiving apparatus. FLETCHER, H. L. Feb. 8, 1939, No. 13251/40. Divided out of 526.239. Drawings to Specification. [Class 40 (v)] Wireless receiving apparatus of the kind adapted, on receipt of a predetermined carrierfrequency signal, to actuate an alarm device or perform a similar operation, comprises a detector for extracting a modulation from the carrier, a first energy-storing means selectively responsive to the modulation frequency, a second energystoring means of the static type adapted to store energy upon excitation of the first energy-storing means, and means whereby energy accumulated in the second energy-storing means can operate to close a circuit including a local source of energy and thereby cause an alarm device to operate. The first energy-storing means is preferably a mechanical resonant device, such as a vibration galvanometer, and the second energystoring device may be a condenser or a thermal relay. The apparatus embodying the invention is the same as that described in Specification 526,239, but the detector is not necessarily of the non-energy consuming type, and may comprise a thermionic valve.
