523,976. Vehicle wheels. BANE, J. Jan. 18, 1939, No. 1738. [Class 144 (i)] A hollow metal rim for cycle and like wheels is reinforced at the spoke-locations by distance '- pieces b through which the nipples d are passed. As shown, the distancepieces b may be formed of laminated metal-andfibre, or one-piece non- metallic washers, the outer end being counter-sunk to receive swaged-in portions of the outer wall of the rim. A rubber &c. packing- washer m may be fitted at the inner wall. Specification 22118/93, [Class 144], is referred to.
