Abstract
523,467. Bleaching. IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. Dec. 30, 1938, No. 37916. Convention date, Dec. 31, 1937. [Class 15 (ii)] Coloured textile materials or fabrics are bleached by exposure to the vapour of tertiary butyl hypochlorite. In an example tertiary butyl hypochlorite is vaporized and carried by a current of air through dry cotton goods, after which it is condensed and returned to the vaporizer. Linen, wool and silk may be similarly treated.
