Abstract

522,649. Electrolytic treatment of sliding- fastener members. WINTERHALTER, M. O., and HORA, J. Dec. 16, 1938, No. 36757. Convention date, Jan. 6. [Class 41] Metal parts, particularly sliding fastener members are uniformly oxidized by arranging them in series on a resilient support which conducts electricity to the members or brings the members into contact with each other, and treating them electrolytically. The members are subsequently dyed. In Fig. 1, the fastener members 2 are pressed against a rubber support 4 fitted with wire conductors 3. In Fig. 3 the resilient support is a U-shaped piece of metal 7. In Fig. 5 the members are arranged on stretched elastic bands 10, 11, which when released bring the members into contact.
