Abstract

521,124. Loose covers for seats. BARKER & CO., Ltd., J., and STONE, F. J. Nov. 8, 1938, No. 32435. [Class 52 (iv)] Loose covers which may be adjusted for use with furniture of different sizes are made by cutting a series of pieces of material from standard templates and joining together to form a complete cover except for a part or parts of one or more of the pieces provided with an adjustment which can finally be fastened on the piece of furniture itself. The cover may comprise a piece 1 forming back and rear; pieces 2 sewn to the ends of the back of the cover, piece 3 to cover the arms of the chair and invertion 4 attached to the front of the arm pieces 3. A frill or skirt 6 is provided with free ends 5 which slide on a cord or tape 7 by which adjustments on the chair are effected.
