Abstract

520,215. Hose reels. PEARCE, E. O., and FOGT, M. Jan. 5, 1939, Nos. 406 and 18111. [Class 99(ii)] In order that two hose lengths can be simultaneously wound on, and unwound from, a reel whilst maintaining a continuous flow through both lengths a junction-piece 4 is provided in the centre of the reel; means 5 for securing the hose lengths 6 to the junctionpiece and a disc 3 for separating the lengths are also provided. A forked handle 10 has supports 14 for raising the reel from the ground, hooks 13 for holding and guiding one of the hose lengths and a skid 12 for keeping the handle and hooks clear of the ground. The ends of the hose are clipped on to an adjacent turn.
