Abstract
519,909. Drawing boards. GRIFFITHS, B. J. Nov. 8, 1938. Nos. 32327/38, 1965/39 and 5256/39. [Class 11] A drawing board has a serrated track at its edges for studs which receive cords stretching across the board, the studs being adjustable within the track. The cords 25, Fig. 2, are resilient and are secured to'the shank 21 of studs 20 having a base 22 engaging around the head of a T- bar 15 secured to a frame 12 surrounding the board 10 which is retained by pivotal lugs 11. The edges 23 of the base 22 are bifurcated and engage serrations on the outer edge of the head of bar 15. The cords 25 may pass round drawing pins inserted into the board to represent an apex or round slides 28, Fig. 5, carried by rods 26 having hooked ends 27 secured to further adjustable studs. In a modification, Fig. 7, the board 30 is recessed at 31 to receive the elliptical bases 40 of studs 37. The channel 31 'is overhung by strips 32, 33, the former having its outer edge serrated and engaged by yokes joining the parallel discs 39, 40 of the studs. Bar 32 is gapped to permit entry and withdrawal of the studs. In a further form, Fig. 9, the cords 25 are spaced by the hooked ends 44 of a curved wire 43 which .is slidable along the cords and secured :n adjusted position by drawing pins 45.
