[Class 29] A collapsable heat - insulated casing is placed over casks 5 supported on the usual stillion 1 and air is circulated by a fan 9, Fig. 3, over cooling-coils 14 located between the bearers of the stillion and around the casks to cool the contents. Perforated metal plates 16 are placed between the coil stretches and plates 15, 17 above and below them, the upper plates being spaced apart between 'the casks by perforated plate's 20, Fig. 3, to allow air to flow upwards between casks. Baffles are provided at the ends of the casing to direct the air currents around the interior of the casing. The casing comprises end walls secured to the stillion bearers and front and rear walls connected thereto by springs .31 with finger clips 32, the top being adjustable by hinged stays 35. The walls may comprise outer plywood and inner 'metal layers with insulation between, and the front is in two parts and slopes inwards at the bottom. The draw off pipe 6a of each cask passes through an opening in a slit rubber sheet 38, Fig. 7, slidable horizontally in guides 39a in a metal plate 39 slidable vertically in guides 40 so that the draw-off pipes are sealed in all tilted positions of the casks. The cooling system and air fan may be controlled thermostatically, and heating means may be provided and be similarly controlled. The casks may be housed in a cabinet having bottle cooling compartments below the casks, or, as shown in Fig. 19, cooling coils may be set in the floor below the stillion, the casing 45 being a rigid open-backed structure placed against a wall. The stillion members may be fitted with barrel-tilting and supporting arrangements as described in Specification 521,076, [Group XVII].
