Abstract

518,310. Road traffic signals on vehicles. FAIRLAWN, H. H. K. Aug. 22, 1938, No. 20135/37. [Class 118 (ii)] A semaphore arm in the form of an arrow is constructed of glass the rear surface of which is of pyramidal formation to reflect light by internal reflection. The arrow may be mounted at the rear of a cycle or it may be provided at the side of a vehicle in which case it may be duplex so as to reflect light, of different colours, to the front and rear respectively. The arrow may be mounted in a metal frame and be operated by Bowden mechanism or by linkage.
