Abstract

517,547. Electric cells; liquid resistances. NIFE BATTERIES, Ltd. (formerly BATTERIES, Ltd.), and DYBECK, M. July 29, 1938, No. 22557. [Classes 37 and 53] A counter E.M.F. cell is constructed with the electrodes a, b of open rectangular box-like formation, one electrode being contained within the other and insulated therefrom by means such as studs a<3> cross-bars, or the like, and each electrode being connected with a terminal a<1>, b<1> upon the insulating and enclosing cover c of the cell. The electrodes are of steel, and potash is the electrolyte used. As shown in Fig. 1, the electrodes are in a glass casing c<1>. In a modification, the outer electrode constitutes the casing.
