[Class 47 (ii)] In a sprinkler head comprising a collap. sible strut formed by a telescoping cylinder 29 and piston 3( held in extended relationship by a fusible plug 31, the plug is coloured or otherwise marked to. indicate its fusing tempera. ture, and the cylinder is so formed that the plug is visible. Preferably, it is transparent, being formed as a quartz tube. The strut is compressed between a bridge piece 22 and an arm 27 on a rod 26. It is assembled so that the cylinder is uppermost.
