Abstract
516,203. Facing - bricks. CERALUX HOLDINGS SOC. ANON. July 16. 1938, Nos. 21145 and 21146. Convention dates, July 16, 1937 and June 18, 1938. [Class 87 (i)] A facing brick has a recess 1 with a sloping face 9 along its top front edge and a second recess 2 in which the front part of the supported brick 3 rests to resist penetration of moisture, the underside of the brick having a channel 4 for mortar and a recess 5 for the passage of anchoring members 8 which are inserted behind a rib 6 or in a groove or recesses in the upper side of the brick. In the modification shown in Fig. 4 the lower front edge 1 of the brick is rebated and the upper front edge is sloped at 9, whilst in a corner brick shown in Fig. 6 a longitudinal face and an adjacent lateral face 9 have their upper and lower edges shaped similarly to those in Fig. 4. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also a construction, Fig. 6 (Cancelled), wherein the upper front edge of the brick is left straight and the lower front edge 1 is rebated. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
