[Class 40 (i)] [Also in Group XX] The transverse inclination indicator 11 of a gyroscopic artificial horizon for aircraft is associated with a counter indicator 13 which is automatically moved by a device determining the desired bank, e.g., by multiplying the airspeed by the rate of turning. The indicator 11 and a pitch indicator 9 are moved by rotary magnets energized from potentiometers at the axes of a gyrovertical. A rate of turn indicator 3 and a course indicator 6 are similarly moved under the control of a gyroscopic turn indicator and a directional gyroscope respectively. The counter indicator 13 is moved by a rotary magnet energized by current from a device which combines the output of the potentiometer of the gyroscopic turn indicator with the output of an airspeed indicator comprising a propeller driving a generator. The device also combines the output of the transverse potentiometer of the gyrovertical in order to compensate for the inclination of the gyro turn indicator due to banking.
