[Class 99 (ii)] [Also in Group XVIII] A pipe closure 7 is secured against its seating by a number of peripheral segmentshaped members 6 having tapered outer edges which are forced into a correspondingly tapered recess in the wall of the pipe. The members 6 bear against a ring 10 secured to the closure and they may slide in radial T-shaped guides on the closure. A central plate or ring may be used to retain the members in position.
