Abstract
510,122. Garment interlinings. PETIT, R. P. J. Sept. 27, 1938, No. 28147. Convention date, April 28. [Class 141] An interlining for garments, e.g. coats and dresses is provided with a shoulder cavity which is bounded at the upper side by the material of the interlining, and at the lower side by one or more strips secured at their ends to the interlining on each side of the upper part of the shoulder, the strip or strips being adapted to rest on the wearer's shoulder. In the form shown, an interlining for a coat comprises a shoulder cavity f which is formed between the material a of the interlining, and an inner strip g which extends approximately half way along the length of the shoulder part from the armhole b. The part of the interlining adjacent the collar is shaped by gussets k, which are preferably reinforced. The material a, and strip g are preferably reinforced, and the shoulder part may be reinforced by an additional lining.
