508,128. Amusement and exercising apparatus. HELLER, M. May 6, 1938, No. 13561. [Class 132 (i)] An artificial skiing track comprises a homogeneous and coherent sliding surface of water and heat resistant, non-rotting material formed with gradients and provided with curved banked edges and safety nets 2. The surface may consist of fibrous mats, linoleum, wood, mica, or artificial resin and similar substances. A resilient mass 4 formed of rubber, gummed fibres, or springs may be arranged under the surface. The track may be provided with raised rods G, studs H, rotatably mounted balls K, recesses E, or fluted or granulated portions C and D. The materials forming the sliding surface may be impregnated with substances to increase their water resistance and slipperiness.
