Abstract
507,641. Valve amplifying circuits. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd., and ROSS, C. P. Dec. 17, 1937, No. 35042. [Class 40 (v)] An amplifier comprises a pair of valves to one of which the input is applied and having means to feed a portion of the output to the other valve of the pair and a negative feedback connection to the input circuit of the valve to which the input is applied. The Figure shows a valve V1 to which the input is applied and a phase inverter V2, the grid of which is fed through a condenser from a potentiometer R6, R20 between the anodes of the valves V1 and V2. As shown, feedback is obtained over an alternating current connection from the anode of the output stage to a resistance R5 in the cathode circuit of the valve V1. The condenser C1 may be of such a value as to reduce the amount of feedback at the lower frequencies. Specification 507,603 is referred to.
