Abstract
504,935. Photographic cameras. CARSWELL, J. I. Nov. 2, 1937, No. 29899. [Class 98 (i)] A Composite photograph of a moving vehicle is produced by taking a plurality of photographs of the vehicle on part of a film at short intervals oftime from a travelling camera which simultaneously produces on another part of the film an image of a speed indicator incorporated in the camera and arranged to record the speed of travel of the camera. The film is fed from a cassette 19 to a chamber 24, and on pulling the trigger 21 in the direction of the arrow, an exposure is made through the objective 16, and simultaneously lamps 12 illuminate the dial 8 of the speed recording instrument 7, a mirror 28 and lens 29 producing an image of the dial on the film. On releasing the trigger, the film is fed. A ring 10 permits removal of the instrument 7, which may also incorporate a clock photographed with the dial 8, and a data sheet 30 may also be photographed. A pointer 33, Fig. 4, projects into the field of the view-finder 18, and is actuated by clockwork mechanism to indicate the time between exposures.
