503,224. Bookbinding. ROBINSON, H. L. Sept. 28, 1937, No. 26195. Drawings to Specification. [Class 16] In a method of making a number of sets of sheets of paper or the like secured together along narrow edge margins by adhesive by assembling a batch of sets together and applying adhesive simultaneously to all the sheets of the different sets, the edge margins of the first or last sheets of each set, or both, before such sheets are collated with others into sets, are pretreated with a substance, such as beeswax, to which the adhesive employed will not adhere, whereby the finished sets are prevented from sticking together and can be readily separated. The sets may be for use in typewriters.
