Abstract

503,045. Dart boards. ELLAM, J. A. Feb. 17, 1038, No. 4901. [Class 132 (iii)] For use with a dart board, wherein the board may be rotated relatively to the numerals, a supporting device comprises two coaxial coacting members, one of which lies behind the back of the board and is rotatable relativlely to the second which is fixed to a support. The dart board 16 is attached by screws to a plate 18 to which is riveted a cup-shaped member 10 engaging round another cup-shaped member 12 riveted to a plate 28 and a disc 30, all being centred on a stud 14. The plate 28 tapers downwards and removably engages the inside of a correspondingly shaped flanged wall plate 20. The disc 30 carries sockets holding wires 36 radiating to the periphery of the board, whence they bend to the front to form the numerals which remain stationary. The board 16 and the member 10 can rotate and means comprising a plurality of holes 38 in the flange 11 of the member 10 and a spring pressed ball 42 in an aperture 40 of the member 12 can hold the board temporarily against rotation. The holding means may alternatively be of ratchet type. Specification 481,943 is referred to.
