Abstract
501,878. Insoles or socks. MEYER, J. May 19, 1938, No. 15013. Convention date, May 19, 1937. [Class 17 (ii)] An insole or sock comprises an upper perforated layerof leather and a lower air-permeable incompressible layer consisting of a network of cords of fibrous material varnished to resist the action of acids and water. The cords may, to enable them to retain their shape under pressure, be wound with a fibrous material or with wire, which may consist of copper and zinc to form an electric element. The grid-like part 5 may be bound with tape, as shown, and is attached to the upper layer 2 by stitching 4 or metal fasteners. The part 5 may, alternatively, be composed of wire.
