[Class 39 (i)] [Also in Group X] In an apparatus for sterilizing and conditioning air for use in operating theatres, the air passes through a dust-precipitator comprising a nest of tubes 13 in the centre of each of which is a wire 14 kept at high tension by an electric device 10 having'rectifying valves 11, and a reversing switch 12, by which a positive or negative tension, or an alternating tension may be given to the wires.
