Abstract
500,840. Fluid-pressure servomoters. AGA-BALTIC RADIO AKTIEBOLAG. March 17, 1938, No. 8282. Convention date, March 19, 1937. [Class 135] A servomotor device controlled by a gyroscope driven by liquid or gaseous pressure medium and sus ponded in gimbals co axial with the servomotor has the gyroscope and power device driven by the same pressure medium which passes through a hollow gimbal ring to the control mechanism and thence to the power device. In the form shown an oscillating vane motor has diametrically opposed vanes 8 working in semi-cylindrical chambers. An extension 15 of the hub carries a pulley 17 adapted to be connected to the part operated while an extension 16 carries a movable ported seat 18 for the control valve. The rotary disc control valve has a pair of supply ports 26, 26<1> and a pair of exhaust recesses 27, 27<1> which ports and recesses co-operate with arcuate recesses in the seat opposed recesses being coupled together and to opposed working chambers. The actuating fluid is supplied through a pipe 22 and hollow gimbal ring 3 of a controlling gyroscope 1 to a chamber 24 formed in the valve member. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 states that the servomotor may be operated under the control of temperature, pressure, volume, &c. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
