[Class 27] A coin-freed machine for vending round articles, such as apples oranges, &c., comprises a drum G, rotatable on an horizontal axis E<1> under the contro of coin-freed mechan ism, a ring of trays K, each pivoted at M being disposed around the periphery of the drum and spaced apart sufficiently to provide pockets for the reception of the articles. A casing E having a discharge opening F surrounds the drum, the outer ends of the trays contacting with this casing. The trays in their passage one by one across the opening. F tip outwards and downwards to discharge their contents through the opening and down a shoot D<1> to a delivery tray D projecting through an opening C in the door B of an enclosing box A. Several rings of trays K, pivoted between parallel division plates H on the surface of the drum, may be employed, the trays being so disposed that -they are tipped one from each ring in succession. This is effected by arranging the trays of the several rings so that they form rows extending at an incline across the face of the drum. Alternatively the trays may be arranged in rows parallel to the'axis F<1> and the upper edge N of the opening F formed at an incline. The Specification as open - to inspection under Sect. 91, comprises also a drum rotating in an horizontal plane about a vertical axis, each tray tipping outwardly when it comes opposite an opening in a surrounding casing. Also the trays may be carried by an endless band passing over two wheels spaced apart. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
