Abstract

499,910. Tethering animals. HEATH, D. W. H. Oct. 26, 1937, No. 29252. [Class 62] A runner for the tethering rope consists of three pulleys 11, 12, 13 disposed with reference to the cable 14 in the manner shown in the Figure. The casing for the pulleys is composed of triangular side plates 15 held by a peripheral strip grooved at its edges and secured in position by a cross piece 18 to which the tethering rope is swivelled. The pulley bearings may be oiled through openings in the side plates formed by pressing out lugs 24. The upper pulleys may be of aluminium and the lower one of brass. A buffer 26 may be clamped to the cable to serve as a stop. According to the Provisional Specification the casing may be formed of two similar inter-fitting stampings.
