Abstract

Containers, pots, boxes, lamp-shades, lamp-pendants, and hollow ornamental pieces such as vases and statues are made of light-weight, translucent material containing only glass fibres united by translucent binders such as glue, cellulose derivatives and indiarubber. The binders are applied in solution, and the articles may be made by moulding the wet mass, pressing thin sheets of the dried material, or by sticking or stitching together sheets or moulded pieces of the dried material.ALSO:Containers, pots, boxes, lamp-shades, lamp-pendants and hollow ornamental pieces such as vases and statues are made of lightweight, translucent material containing only glass fibres united by translucent binders, such as glue, cellulose derivatives and indiarubber. The binders are applied in solution, and the articles may be made by moulding the wet mass, pressing thin sheets of the dried material, or by sticking or stitching together sheets or moulded pieces of the dried material.
