Abstract

A solder for use in sealing metallic pump fittings in electric discharge devices after degassing, and having a melting point about 50 DEG C. higher than the degassing temperature, 500 DEG C., consists either of a silver cadmium alloy containing 45 per cent of silver or an antimony cadmium alloy containing 80 per cent of cadmium.
