498,423. Brushes &c. CLARREN, H. Nov. 30, 1937, No. 33115. Convention date, Jan. 15. [Class 19] [Also in Group VI] An appliance employed in massaging the gums comprises a rubber or like elastic sleeve 8, preferably closed at one end 9, having on one side thereof one, two, or a larger number of cups 10, each having a central projection 14 extending above the edge of the cup. The projections may be of the same height or the end projection may be higher than the rest. The sleeve 8 is slipped on to the handle of a toothbrush and the face opposite to the cups may support a mirror, for example by a frame with undercut edges moulded on the sleeve. In a modification the sleeve may be replaced by a base member, having an integral rubber plug adapted to engage a hole in the brush handle and one or more metal or other clips clamping on to the handle.
