[Class 96] In making asbestos-cement sheets on a machine of the millboard type, fibres, on the cylinders 2 above or below the pulp level in the vats 4, or on the felt 1, are displaced as by combs 7 on arms 9 pivoted and reciprocated on rods 8 by hand or mechanically. Alternatively rollers with helical ribs, or bristles, pins, teeth, &c. may be used. Fibres of successive layers may be oppositely displaced.
