Abstract

496,858. Centrifugal separators. FUSION-MOTEURS SOC. ANON. March 9, 1938, No. 7404. Convention date, March 13, 1937. [Class 23] [Also in Group XXII] The distributer and lower plate of the bowl of a centrifuge are made in a single piece from a sheet-metal stamping. The body which is formed preferably of rustless steel has a bottom plate 3 with a tubular upper part 1 ; it passes over the stem projecting upwards from the bowl base. The plate 3 has perforations 4 through which the incoming liquid passes after descending the channels 2 on the inside of the upper part 1. Smooth curved recesses 5 are formed in the plate 3 and they connect with external passages on the part 1 for the separated rising liquid. The intermediate plates have central circular openings with recesses to position the plates by engagement with the rib 6 on one of the channels 2. A notch 7 ensures the correct setting of the . distributer with respect to the stem of the bowl base.
