Abstract

496,390. Street &c. lamps. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., MAXTED, R., and TUPPEN, E. B. May 29, 1937, No. 14965. [Class 75 (ii)] In a lighting-fitting as shown comprising a mercury or sodium vapour discharge lamp, the reflector 5 is correctly positioned in the casing either (i) between dowel screws 9, Fig. 2, in the end castings 1 and side reflectors 3 also screwed thereto, or (ii) by its ends engaging in slotted studs 10 fixed and yet freely rotatable in the end castings. Reflector 5 may have its edges 14 bent over tie-rods 15 between the end castings.
