Abstract
496,370. Frames for doors, panels, and walls. BUDD MANUFACTURING CO., E. G. April 7, 1938, No. 10666. Convention date, April 7, 1937. [Classes 20 (iii) and 20 (iv)] A frame member for panels of doors, walls, partitions, and the like is of hollow, preferably extruded, form and provided with panelengaging parts secured by rivets &c. 14 and integral pliable extensions 15 adapted to -be bent over the securing means to conceal the rivets. The invention is shown applied to a door and its jambs &c., Fig. 2. The stile 17 is pivoted at 18 and rounded to engage the jamb 20, the opposite stile engaging the resilient strip 22 in the extension of the jamb 20. Mouldings 27, Fig. 3, are attached on each side of a lintel 25. The extensions preferably have raised edge portions adapted to make a flush contact with the frame. The central panel 11 comprises light metal sheets such as aluminium with sound insulation between them. Fittings 25 are provided for attachment of accessories.
