Abstract

Seamless hollow bodies are moulded from cellulose derivatives by centrifugal force by pouring the material on to the bottom of a rapidly-rotating, vertically-disposed mould. A number of layers may be successively applied. The method may be used for lining hollow bodies. Reinforcements or fabrics may be embedded in the material. The cellulose derivative may be in solution and solidified by evaporation or precipitation or it may be heated and solidified by cooling. Specifications 14490/15 and 330,516, [both in Class 87 (ii)], are referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 includes also moulding artificial resins, viscose and thermoplastic material, the use of cylindrical or conical moulds, the formation of narrow-necked bottles, and the provision of air-tight covers for the moulds to prevent formation of bubbles. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
