Abstract

491,140. Brushes. COSBY, E. L. H. Feb. 14, 1938, No. 17282. Divided out of 491,297. [Class 19] A toilet or hair brush is provided with a hollow back or hollow stock to receive a pad or pads impregnated with perfume or other volatile liquid, the stock being formed with holes or openings through which the perfume &c. percolates to the bristles. The invention is described with reference to the detachable stock brush described in Specification 491,297. A single pad 7 with a central aperture 7a and impregnated with perfume &c. is located in the brush stock, the plate 3 of which is formed with a number of small holes 8, Fig. 2, through which the perfume can percolate. The pad may have more than one aperture, or it may be plain, or two or more pads may be used.
