Abstract

489,355. Reproducing images on lenticular films by scanning. COMPAGNIE FRANCAISE POUR L'EXPLOITATION DES PROCEDES THOMSON-HOUSTON. Oct. 19, 1936, No. 28450. Void. Convention date, Oct. 30, 1935. [Class 40 (iii)] [Also in Group XX] In reproducing lenticular originals on lenticular stock, the component colour records are separately scanned by an optical device combined with a light-sensitive cell, the resulting current being used to produce light variations which are reproduced on the blank film by a microscope objective. In the form shown, the original film F is ilhuninated by a light source O, the light passing through a diaphragm r, v, b corresponding to the triple band filter used in taking, two strips of which are marked at each scanning. The resulting image is scanned by a microscope objective M and photo-electric cell P, the current passing through an amplifier A and controlling a shutter V. Light passing the shutter V from a source S is projected by a moving microscope objective M<1> into a screen N and copied on the film F<1> by an objective O<1> having a diaphragm r<1>, v<1>, b<1> two strips of which are marked. Alternatively, three microscope objectives are arranged on the axes of the elementary beams emanating from the film F and separately scan the component records which are then reproduced by three systems of the above form on the final film.
