Abstract
488,503. Kinematograph apparatus. FORDYCE, J. W. Jan. 13, 1937, No. 1009. [Class 97 (i)] A hand-operated camera and projector includes a removable magazine containing a supply and take-up spool and a removable projector adapter comprising a housing having at one end an electric lamp and at the other a condenser, the magazine and adapter being alternatively fixed in the casing of the apparatus to permit taking or projection, Fig. 2 shows the apparatus adapted for projector, a supply spool 8 being detachably mounted on a support 12 and the film passing a guide 4 to the takeup spool 9, the film and spool 9 being driven by suitable mechanism operated bv a hand crank. The adapter 10 fits resiliently between the gate 3 and an electrical contact 10<1> connected by a lead 14 to a source of current. For use as a camera, the speols 8, 9 and the adapter are removed and a magazine is placed in the casing, the film passing over the same guide 4, and the take-up spool being driven by the shaft of the spool 9.
