Abstract

488,076. Resonant circuits. LORENZ AKT.-GES., C. Oct. 26, 1937, No. 29225. Convention date, Oct. 27, 1936. Drawings to Specification. [Class 40 (iii)] In tuned circuits in which the change in capacity due to change of temperature is compensated by a corresponding change in inductance, means are provided for ensuring that the temperatures of the two elements shall change at corresponding rates, in order that the frequency may not be disturbed during the process of change. Thus, if the condenser tends to change its temperature more rapidly than the inductance, it may be surrounded with heat-insulating material ; or both elements may be enclosed in separate heat-insulating receptacles. The walls of the receptacles may be of ceramic material or, if they are within the electric field of the circuit, of material having low dielectric losses. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes also the inclusion of both elements is a common heat-insulating receptacle, which ensures that both shall change their temperature slowly and at the same rate. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
