Abstract

487,445. Gas burners. HORSTMANN, F. O., HORSTMANN, J. H. G., and HORSTMANN GEAR CO., Ltd. March 17, 1937, No. 7873. [Class 75 (i)] The burner head of a gas poker for kindling solid-fuel fires is formed of two complementary pressings 1 of heatresistant metal, such as nickelchrome-vanadium iron, having an out-turned flange 5 with spaced indentations or corrugations 6 to form the burner outlets 7 and a channel-shaped neck 4. The pressings are secured together by spot welding the flanges between the outlets or by providing the flanges with ears, which are bent alternately in opposite directions to grip the flanges and preferably spot welded to the adjacent flange. The necks 4 are clamped by a sleeve 11 on the tubular stem 8.
